    Description

    Up for sale is a vintage McCoy Pottery ceramic sugar jar #158. This large, light brown, figural cannister is made to look like a burlap sack tied at the top, with the knot forming the lid's handle. Item stands 12" to the top of the handle and measures a shade over 6 1/2" across at it's widest point. This unique art pottery cookie jar is mostly, in very good pre-owned vintage condition. It seems however, that the previous owner may have attempted to mask a handful of imperfections along the top edge of the cannister (photos #4-#6). The quality of the work is lacking and the color of the paint used is not a very good match (photos #9-#12). It does appear that these "touch-ups" could be stripped and the restoration redone properly. Please rely heavily on photos as the most accurate description of item's physical condition and feel free to ask any questions you may have prior to purchase.
