I am a big fan of well designed jewelry..Designs where the artist's imagination for originality is clearly obvious to the eye & the outcome is visually rewarding.
And with this said,this is what I personally feel about this wonderfully laid out design..
This husband/wife duo take the 'old school' route where literally everything is made with the power of the hand,including cutting & shaping each & every stone that were used in these,which makes them that much more special!
Using triangular cuts,ovals & round cabochons & then laying them horizontally & vertically is what gives this earring the super appealing look they have & personally,they wouldn't look as great as they do,if it wasn't for these various shaped cuts & sizes!
They are as sexy as can be & have wonderful movement to them & can look as sexy with denim as they will with your best evening wear!
Because of their more contemporary Navajo style,they will look good no matter what continent you live on,without feeling you have to only wear them when your wearing other Native American pieces..They will go with a traditional Native American collection of jewelry as they will with a contemporary non traditional one!

Designs are more like the traditional style jewelry & at times venture off into contemporary styles,as well as creating Navajo jewelry from decades past..There isn't much that you can't put in front of them that they can't make.
Clarissa has been designing & making jewelry since the age of 13 & started out by the influence of her well known parents
"ALICE & DAVID LISTER"
who themselves have been at it since 1973.It was either playing out in the yard for Clarissa or working inside helping Mom..Good thing for us fans, she chose working inside!
Vernon Hale jr.is the son of the late Vernon Hale Sr. & Sadie Hale of Oak Springs,AZ.In the summer of 2001 Vernon was welding a 8ft. Kachina out of sheets of metal,when father in law David Lister,told him that welding was similar to making jewelry out of silver.That sparked an interest in Vernon making jewelry & soon after"V & C Hale" then was created! V & C has been collaborating since 2002.They make pieces of jewelry to be worn with a sense of connection,comfort & enjoyment! They are known in higher end SW galleries.
