    Description

    ABOUT THE ARTIST:
"Eleanor is a Navajo Silversmith from the Towering House(Kinya'oanii) & Salt(Ashii'i) Clan..Born in 1953,she has been doing jewelry  since being a teenager..She specializes in cluster work & earrings that are typically known to the Zuni Pueblo People..
Eleanor ranks up there, being not only one of  my favorites, but a true SW favorite as well when it comes to workmanship & eye catching jewelry! Poor workmanship, careless, mediocre, does not exist with anything you will get of hers..She is one of the finest out there..Everything she does, she does with precision & always tries to choose her stones well for size to assure a more uniform look.
There is nothing you will not own of hers, that you won't fall in love with & she designs each piece to capture a audience.

    ABOUT THE TURQUOISE:
"Sonoran Gold" is one of the hottest turquoise that has found it's way on the market & comes from Northern Mexico, just south of the Arizona border..It is located at the Campitos Mountain, where Campitos turquoise comes from, but personally,Sonoran Gold is much more more appealing than Campitos turquoise, based on the character it offers!
It can remind you a bit of Royston or Pilot Mountain turquoise because of it's blue to green color formations, but unlike the former,Sonoran Gold has spotty black colors & pyrite in it.. The green in this stone is intense & vibrant, while the blue area can remind you a little of Kingman.

    ABOUT THE EARRINGS:
Designed to look like a "Kachina Maiden" where she is wearing a 3 stone headdress & is wearing dangling earrings of turquoise..These are made with closely matched ovals of Sonoran Gold & are designed in a very lengthy style. With these however, they are long but surprising light for their size!
The stones are bezel set in a matte oxidized finishing. So you will not have to polish these!
They have THE most amazing look on & are absolutely striking on!

**An example as to what dictates prices in Turquoise.**
Turquoise is priced on few things…whether the turquoise is natural or treated, with natural being more valuable per carat & costly than treated. Then you look at price per carat for what that quality goes for,how many carats are used.
Remember turquoise is like a finger print, with no 2 being exactly the same & with that said, even though you can get turquoise from that same mine,it will be different from the next.
What also dictates the price is the cost of the metal, the work & time that went into making the piece & lastly, the designer whose name is on them.
