Rare Vintage McCoy Kitten on Coal Bucket Mold # 219 Cookie Jar

Description

For your consideration is a Rare mid century McCoy brand Cookie Jar. This one is called mold number 219 the "Kitten Sleeping On a Coal Bucket" It was mold formed and hand finished with black glossy glazed bucket and natural browns on the kitten. It measures 10 1/2 inches tall over all, 5 1/2 inches in diameter at the base, 9 1/2 inches long, and inches 8 wide. It is marked 219 McCoy copyright and U.S.A. on the base. This jar is made of Ohio clay and is heavy weighing pounds 5  pounds and will have a shipping weight of 6-7 pounds. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or wear showing. There is an as made flake on the inside of the lid inside rim which is partially glazed over (last picture). Two of the points on the coal have no glaze. it shows as a white dot. This jar was found in the back of a cabinet at an estate sale in Southeastern Ohio near where it was made.
